Off the beaten track and with views to die for, the Voula Apartments are ideal for getting away from it all. Situated out of town, on the highest point of San Stefanos, you can savour stunning views from the front of the apartments across the bay, and from the back, across the lush valley.

During the day, soak up the sun before plunging into the reviving cool waters of the pool. Or maybe just lie back and listen to the breeze rustling in the palm trees. If the sea air wafting up from the bay gets too much, stroll down the hill for some warm sand underfoot at the beach. Here in high season, you can experience the thrill of the watersports on offer or meander around the various cafes.

Later, you'll need to tackle the 800m walk up the steep hill from beach to apartment - unless you have a car of course. But you'll be well rewarded at the top with a well deserved cocktail and a bird's eye view of a glorious sunset
