This long sandy bay is pretty much the closest beach to Ibiza Town, but it's generally peaceful and uncrowded, and popular with families. There are a handful of bars and restaurants, including some very good places to eat alongside the beach, and you can sip a sundowner here while watching the lights of Ibiza Town come on one by one across the water. There are few shops here in Talamanca, but it's only a 15 minute walk to the village of Jesus, where there are restaurants, supermarkets, shops and banks. Of course, for the ultimate in shopping and entertainment, you only have to hop on a boat or walk for 15 minutes around the marina to arrive in Ibiza Town. Captivating, contemporary and historic all at the same time, Ibiza Town is a marvelous place, full of budding fashion designers selling their creations in little boutiques and stallholders selling local handicrafts. Climb up to the old town of D'Alt Vila, encircled by solid city walls, to enjoy panoramic views, or soak up the ambiance as you explore the narrow lanes near the port. For glamorous nightlife, it's only a short taxi ride to the hot clubs of El Divino and Pacha, where you can dance to the latest music until dawn. By day, ferries leave for Formentera from the marina, and buses run from Ibiza Town all around the island, so this makes a great base for exploring Ibiza whether or not you hire a car.
