Just like New York's Saratoga Springs, on which it's based, this rustic-style retreat is crammed full of natural beauty. It might not sit in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains like the real thing, but what it does sit in, is the magical Walt Disney World Resort. There are also plenty of homages to its New York alter ego, such as the hand-carved horse in the lobby, like the one at the Congress Park carousel. And look out for the racing silks in the hallway between 'The Turf Club' and 'The Artist's Palette', too.
When you're not hitting Disney's legendary theme parks, the Saratoga is just the ticket for a well-deserved spot of R&R. And the perfect place to do it is outside. Whether you're after whirlpool spas and waterslides or just want to chill out by a peaceful pool – take your pick. You'll also find the 'On The Rocks' pool bar here, so you won't have to move far when you fancy an ice-cold drink or bite to eat. And if you're after a more substantial meal come lunch or dinner time, simply head inside to The Artist's Palette, which serves up pizzas, salads and Italian-style sandwiches.
If you fancy indulging in something a little more active, there are plenty of sports on offer such as golf, tennis and basketball. And if you have little ones with you, they'll love running around in the playground. Whatever you do here though, save some time for the spa. Go for the burn in the state-of-the-art gym. Pamper yourself with luxurious body treatments. Or let your stresses melt away with a soothing massage. Then end your day at 'The Turf Club' with its television and pool table, where you can sink into a sofa and order a drink. So for an elegant lakeside escape close to the heart of Disney, it has to be the Saratoga Springs.
